Statement From Dr. John Mattiacci:

 "I want to acquaint you with OPEIU Board actions of this week:  This week, Rich Lanigan announced his retirement as OPEIU President; and the OPEIU Board elected a new President to fill Rich's current term. (Two further years) Rich will remain as a consultant and will now focus on projects in which he has special interest. One of those projects is the Guild system 

"New York, NY (Feb. 19, 2025) – The Office and Professional Employees International Union (OPEIU), AFL-CIO, CLC, Executive Board today named Tyler Turner to serve as president, following the retirement of Richard Lanigan. The appointment, effective immediately, was made at the executive board’s meeting in Las Vegas. Turner has served since 2017 as president of Local 277 in Fort Worth, Texas, and as an International vice president for Region IV since 2019. He will serve alongside OPEIU Secretary-Treasurer Mary Mahoney." Tyler comes from Kaiser.
